Born in Glen Ridge and raised in Montclair, Joseph grew up alongside his siblings Teddy, Robert, Ray, Paul, and Elizabeth. From an early age, he demonstrated the determination and leadership qualities that would define his life. A proud graduate of Immaculate Conception High School’s Class of 1951, he excelled both academically and athletically, earning recognition as a talented quarterback. It was during those formative years that he met Adele, the woman who would become his beloved wife and lifelong companion for more than seven decades.

Whether serving honorably in the United States National Guard, building homes that would shelter generations of families, or dedicating himself to his parish and community organizations, he approached every responsibility with integrity and pride.
