Born in Pagontas, Greece, John’s journey to America began when he arrived through Ellis Island in 1924 before settling in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Like many immigrants of his generation, he embraced the opportunities and challenges of a new life while maintaining a deep appreciation for his heritage, culture, and family values.

John dedicated more than two decades of his professional life to the Anaconda Company in Perth Amboy, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1974. His strong work ethic, reliability, and sense of responsibility earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. However, his greatest contributions extended far beyond the workplace.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, John served honorably during World War II in the South Pacific. His courage and dedication to his country earned him the rank of Corporal and the Distinguished Service Medal, reflecting the sacrifices he made alongside countless members of the Greatest Generation. His military service remained a source of pride for both his family and community throughout his life.

Faith also played a central role in John’s life. As a devoted communicant of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, he found strength, guidance, and fellowship within his church community. His commitment to his faith was reflected in the kindness, humility, and compassion he demonstrated toward others.

Above all, John cherished his family. He shared 64 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Angelina Andreadis, building a life founded on devotion, respect, and enduring love. He was a proud father to his sons, Artie Andreadis and Ted Andreadis, and took great joy in watching his family grow and flourish.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Hercules and Dina Andreadis, and his brothers, Christopher and Aristedis “Eddie” Andreadis. Though they welcomed him into eternal rest, his memory remains alive in the hearts of those who continue to celebrate his life and legacy.

As loved ones reflect upon his 95 years of life, they remember a man of integrity, courage, faith, and unwavering devotion to family. John Hercules Andreadis leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever honored by all who knew and loved him.
